Our People

Kate Settle is the owner of Beehive Studio, and teaches many of the courses. Kate is professional photographer and a qualified teacher, with many years experience around the world and has worked on private freelance commissions, art photography, as well as editorial work for a variety of print publications. Kate's prior experience in International Development and in Education have heavily influenced her artistic life, and lead to the creation of the CLIC Workshops children's photography program (through which she has taught hands on photography skills to over 2,000 children in Ottawa area elementary schools), and now to Beehive Studio. Kate is a parent to two boys, loves print making, playing the recorder (really...) colour, paddling her kayak, and hunting for pebbles on the south coast of England where she grew up.
